Several themes occur to me. I do not presume they are the only ones needing attention. They just strike me is foundational for any significant change to help United Methodism. Here are the themes: Planning, Defining the pastor’s job, Defining superintending, Accountabilty, Local Church Revitalization, and Third World Financing. I round out my prescription with a modest conclusion.
